Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Service (QIFVLS) is a not-for-profit organisation which provides legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples suffering from direct and indirect effects of violence and sexual assault.
QIFVLS provides a range of legal services, including advice and representation in the areas of Family and Domestic Violence, Child Protection, Family Law, Victim Support and Victim Assist, Sexual Assault and minor Civil Law matters.
QIFVLS also provides clients and the broader community with educational workshops and information sessions on: Sexual Assault Awareness; Domestic and Family Violence Awareness; Personal Development; Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships and Community Legal Education in the areas of family violence, family law, child protection and victim assist.
Clients can initiate contact by free call on 1800 887 700. Referrals are also received from professionals. A Referral Form is available on the QIFVLS website at www.qifvls.com.au
The Service is located on Level 1, 62 Walker Street, Townsville.
