Brisbane Family Law Pathways Network Training Event 

This workshop will cover a range of issues around the impacts of drugs and alcohol on separating families, including:

- the complexities of parental substance use

- the impact of probelmatic and non-problematic substance use on parenting

- the link between substance use and mental health issues

- barriers to engagement 

- balancing the needs and safety of children while empowering parents

- statistics on use of alcohol and other drugs

- referral and support options

- classification of substances and problematic use

- evidence based treatments and harm minimisation
