What is the mindset of those who carry learning issues within domestic violence? What in the mindset relating to learning issues needs to be changed? Shouldn't learning disabilities be considered different learning abilities? Why do some people struggle when I ask them simple questions? If you work with people who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic violence then this workshop is for you.

  • Journeys: A Group for Women

    The Nundah Neighbourhood Centre & Uniting Care Community will be providing a free, confidential eight week group program for women who have experienced violence and/or other forms of abuse in their intimate relationships. This group will be facilitated by two counsellors and will combine therapeutic and educational components.

    Research tells us that 1 in 6 men experience childhood sexual abuse and assault and that this can have profound effects on their lives, often leaving them feeling isolated and disconnected. This group is an opportunity for men to talk with other men who have had similar experiences in a professionally facilitated and supportive environment.
