From January 2020, the Queensland’s Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld) will will protect 23 fundamental rights and freedoms, and it requires Queensland’s public entities to consider human rights, and to make decisions and act in a way that best protects human rights. This article looks ath teh main rights affecting families and children and how the Human Rights Act might affect the family law itself.
